Learners are learning differently

Jane Hart reacts to the findings of the Pew Research Internet Project, which claims that many Americans believe the greater accessibility of digital information has improved their ability to learn new things.

Hart gives eight pieces of insight into the way learning is changing as a result of these ongoing processes:

  1. It is on continuous
  2. It is on demand
  3. It happens in short bursts
  4. It is social
  5. It happens in different places
  6. It is often serendipitous
  7. It is autonomous
